Few buildings have offered so different images throughout their history like the Gálata building, the old port’s arsenal of Génova. Since the slender arches of the 17th century to the recent images of footbridges and superimposed concrete structures, to its neoclassic façade. It’s a building without a consolidated and definite image. The intervention, which will be executed in accordance to its new institutional use, will lead to a change of image far-off those old warehouses of the port. A new transparent façade provides a new entrance hall, with adequate dimensions for the new public use.
