The project of 41 housing consists on a block surrounded by the Courneuve Park on the edge of the Cité du Moulin Neuf that Jean Dubuisson built in the late 50’s, it´s also an urban renewal project launched in 2001, and a green atmosphere.

The site is located, wedged, between a railroad, a local road and the Courneuve´s park. The developers of this neighborhood also thought about the daily lives of the people creating a small shopping mall. The apartments are doubly oriented.

The residential complex belonged to Semidep, society HLM City of Paris and had become a concentration of poor Parisian families, large or immigrants.

Without the benefi t of rehabilitation, the neighborhood became degraded, a nucleus of insecurity. In 2000, Semidep transfers the Moulin Neuf to the real estate 3F to launch a renovation plan. The two blocks are divided into the middle with small buildings and new streets. A shaft structure tree-lined will link the neighborhood to the city by opening the park.

The construction project of 41 detached houses performed by Atelier du Pont marks the end of the urban renewal project in the neighborhood of Moulin Neuf. Rather than proposing individual isolated houses these are combined to increase their numbers, resulting a prototype of intermediate housing.
