Rafael Tamarit: architect
Years have passed and it is still impossible to label Tamarit. He could be described as a visionary, architect, magician, sociologist, Sherpa,…, although above all he has been a world-renowned teacher for being the porcelain architect of the Lladró family empire.
An outstanding disciple of Alejandro de la Sota and Julio Cano Lasso, it is his generous contribution in the field of education that would make him, very young, one of the essential voices of the recently created School of Architecture of Valencia to whose consolidation and prestige he contributed with enthusiasm.
His work, of extraordinary quality, has the privilege of being repeatedly included in the Iberian Docomomo (Hermanos Lladró Building, ...), although they are his designs for the famous porcelain brand Lladró (Lladró Museum & Galleries -New York-, Ginza Building Lladró -Tokyo-, Lladró Rodeo Drive, Beverly Hills -Los Angeles-,….) Which have marked its international recognition.
