Following the previous publication devoted to the Ibêre Camargo Museum, the author himself recommended that the next issue be devoted to the Metro project carried out by Souto de Moura for the city of Porto.
Siza justified his choice because, according to him, the whole Porto Metro project was worked out from just seven basic details.

After analysing the project, there is no doubt that the Porto Metro project was worked out from more than seven basic details, but it is true that there is a great effort in the whole project to achieve a great systematisation and even a certain concern about achieving repeatable and even industrialisable solutions. This book shows a large number of them in an edition where the scale of presentation of the plans is fundamental to show the complexity of the design of Souto de Moura.
