Óscar Miguel Ares. Architecture 2013- 2023

The book "Óscar Miguel Ares: Architecture 2013-2023" showcases a decade of work by the Spanish architect, renowned for his commitment to revitalizing depopulated Spain and his sustainable approach to architectural design.

Throughout its 176 pages, it presents a selection of his most notable projects, such as the Senior Residence and Day Center in Valladolid, the Rehabilitation of Los Jardinillos Park in Palencia, the Castromonte Municipal Swimming Pool, and the FA House, among others, developed with photographs, texts, drawings, and construction details.

It includes an interview with Santiago de Molina, and texts by Jaume Prat and Anna and Eugeni Bach that analyze his architecture from different angles.

Ares' manifesto, "Depopulated Spain," opens the book, exposing his connection with the rural environment and the need to balance opportunities between cities and small populations far from establishment, thus presenting his vision on spatial justice and balance in the opportunities for facilities and energy resources.
