Creus e Carrasco are featured in issue 38 of the En Blanco collection, a monograph that brings together a selection of recent works organised around four themes: Port, Room, House and Slope.

Each of these chapters traces a different way of relating to the territory, living and the Galician geography, which is as present in its architecture as the sea.

All the works share a common material: concrete. But in the hands of this studio, concrete transcends its industrial condition to become a familiar, sensitive material that dialogues with local wood and stone.

There is no artifice: just a way of building that blends naturally into the landscape and recent tradition.

What distinguishes the work of Creus e Carrasco is their ability not to impose forms, but to listen to the place. Architectural projects such as the redevelopment of the port of Porto do Son, the Hotel Bela Fisterra and the Casa Chao reveal a particular sensitivity to context, understood not as a neutral background, but as an active memory that conditions every design decision.

Since founding their studio in A Coruña in 1994, Juan Creus and Covadonga Carrasco have developed a coherent, rigorous and emotional practice, ranging from pieces of furniture to large-scale urban interventions. Their architecture is both specific and open, deeply rooted in Galicia but projected towards possible futures.

The book offers exceptionally rich documentation: in addition to photographs, it includes plans, models and construction details that provide an in-depth understanding of the development of each project.
