This book contains some twenty works and projects by the Galician architects Covadonga Carrasco and Juan Creus made between 2000 and 2012, in a total of 176 pages.

His work, eminently centered in the peninsular northwest, combines a great capacity for abstraction with a perfect integration in the place where it is inserted. For these architects, the contextual is not a justification but a proactive challenge open to new spaces. That is why, starting from the meaning of the relationship between form and function, they come to the proposition of a new stage in the history of places and their people. Memory articulates their proposals from the constructive sphere, but also as a revealer of hidden realities on which the new stands out even more.

As their master, Manuel Gallego, says, "efficiency, functional and technical should be mostly valued, as an ethical obligation, but also, in a broader sense, the efficiency in the expression and transmission, in the clearest and most accurate way possible of ideas and emotion (...) The architect, in a certain way, explains in each work how he understands the world, with what attitude he faces it. (...) the existing problems and needs are always linked to people. Therefore, the built spaces are also to be lived. But also to communicate a feeling, provoke an emotion. I believe that the architect when doing architecture creates places ". Words that perfectly fit to this couple of architects.
