EB 14- Collective Housing
The issue of collective housing is not closed but is still a field of work and experimentation for architects today. The research focuses not only on typological issues but also constructive and expressive. It is here where concrete, whether in situ or prefabricated, is the protagonist of the proposals for collective housing included in this issue.
They are small scale groups, with different grouping systems, in blocks, in rows, between party walls, ... that have in common a special concern for construction, for material execution. From the care for the detail of the Swiss works, to the raw concrete of Buenos Aires, going through the prefabrication proposals of the El Vallés Campus and the use of the concrete block in Mexico, we wanted to show different sensitivities when working with concrete , so that the versatility of the material is clear to adapt to different climatic, economic and cultural situations
