This is the second monograph that En Blanco magazine dedicates to the concrete work of some architects. From number one, dedicated to the recent concrete production of Álvaro Siza, the publication had not been refocused on such a specific personal accomplishment. On this occasion, we have understood that the latest works of the architects based in Porto, Fátima Fernandes and Michele Cannatà, have all the necessary components, both for their architectural quality and for the formal, constructive and carried out research, to justify this volume.

There are five works, and a project that will soon begin its construction, those presented here. They cover a great typological variety that includes a bus station, a funeral chapel, a school, a rural museum or a landscape laboratory, through the rehabilitation of a magnificent modern hostel that accompanies the hydroelectric facilities of the Picote Dam, in the northwest of Portugal. Concrete, and more specifically white concrete, is the protagonist of the different buildings, being present, to a greater or lesser extent, in all of them.
