The single house designed by Charles Pictet in Frontenex (Geneva, Switzerland) is a model example of a project whose value lies in the way environmental challenges are faced.

Starting with special conditions, like the inclusion of an old greenhouse in the plan of the residence, have led to the design of a unique and renowned house, where formal construction is key to a genuine tectonic structure which blends into the historic setting. The use of concrete is no way unrelated to these purposes. This study analyses the house and its relevance in the architect’s professional career.
