Pereda Pérez
Carlos Pereda and Óscar Pérez Silanes
Pereda Pérez Arquitectos is the architectural practice founded by Spanish architects Carlos Pereda Iglesias and Óscar Pérez Silanes, based in Pamplona. Their work focuses on the development of architectural projects in which constructive clarity, material precision and a close relationship with context play a central role.
From the beginning of their practice, their architecture has been characterised by a search for essentiality. Their projects are developed through a direct relationship between concept, structure and material, avoiding the emphasis on formal gestures or arbitrary solutions. This approach results in a sober and rigorous architecture deeply connected to the specific conditions of each place.
The work of Pereda Pérez has been widely published in architectural journals and presented in exhibitions both in Spain and internationally. Among their most recognised projects are the La Milagrosa Nursery School in Pamplona, the Relocation Housing in the historic centre of Pamplona, and several residential and public projects developed in diverse urban and territorial contexts.
Alongside their professional practice, both architects maintain an active academic career as lecturers in architectural design studios at institutions such as the Madrid School of Architecture (ETSAM) and the University of Zaragoza, as well as participating in conferences, workshops and exhibitions in different architectural institutions worldwide.
Throughout their career the practice has received numerous distinctions and international recognitions, including the Spanish Architecture Award, the Europa Nostra Prize for Cultural Heritage and the Ibero-American Architecture and Urbanism Biennial Award, consolidating their position as one of the most rigorous practices within contemporary Spanish architecture.
