In the centre of a rural village we find the ruins of a small dark house with views to the mountain range. To maintain the walls was decided, because they are part of the village’s history and inside another structure that could stand a flat framework that protected the spaces that appear in the façade, was constructed. Beyond the framework and the volumetric form of the new concrete stair, the stones did the rest:
Its presence defined the walls, the pavements, interiors and exteriors. Its absence designed the windows, the empty spaces, the doors…
…and the house was improved and full of light, and the view to the mountain
range was better than ever.
