The building is shown as a box as an experimental deposit, a music box where Architecture, as a spatial experience, becomes just like the word in time. It was born as an obligatory bet due to its position on the site and the search and protection of the orientations that it has free.
Based on an inordinate program for the site, it is conceived as a game that leaves interstitial and hollow spaces through which a light penetrates, giving life to a tight group of isolated spaces. The box must be opened so that the air enters and the gaze comes out. It opens to the north, on its most human face towards the pedestrian promenade. An access that opens but protects itself, that gives way but welcomes. It is the first step in a concatenated interior spatial succession.
Successive spaces related and governed by light and shadow, the substantial protagonist of the form. The lobby is articulated by means of the compression and decompression of the space that gives way to the vertical atrium of the building, through which the main staircase climbs. This atrium is conceived as a large public space that articulates and links all the floors and spaces that revolve around it until reaching the coronation, which opens in all directions where light penetrates to flood the space. The ground floor is used for administrative areas, general service areas and the library. The most public spaces that require less control in light and acoustic matters. The basement contains the rehearsal rooms and the auditorium. It is a true blind box, illuminated from the atrium that descends from the sky to the ground.
The first and second floors are used for the instrumental and dance classrooms, which play hide and seek with the lights and shadows with the ragged gaps in the facades, minimized so that the music does not escape. Music and dance rooms, flexible but rational, with light and shadows, closed but open. A building that surrounds everything. It envelops the light and catches it, it envelops the music and lets it fly.
