La Cayera. Alejandro de la Sota
Alejandro de la Sota (1913-1996) is one of the great masters of Spanish architecture. The course of the new century puts him into place.
We find him again teaching at the School. There he would not distinguish between construction, teaching and research. "We do architecture to know what is it". This research process was largely a continuous trial of construction materials and building systems, whether in planning on the study or building them on site.
The modern rationality of his works shows that timeless of classical masters' own. The author himself perceives it: "I checked my work for many years, spaced by life and events (...) I felt myself obliged to be honest and confess that feeling that no time had passed through my works. " In 1973, sixty years old Alejandro de la Sota, started this family house for Domínguez.
