TC 54- Grupo LBC Architects 1987-2002
Approaching the architecture of LBC (Alfonso López Baz and Javier Calleja Ariño) is, once again in what concerns the world of Mexican architecture, to resurrect the eternal debate around the struggle between the autochthonous and the foreign or around the way to conceive an architectural modernity that has its roots in the Mexican secular.
This debate has not stopped sounding in Mexico practically since the beginning of the 20th century. Barragan did nothing but point out a possible solution to the problem, perhaps the most significant. LBC gives us, in this sense, a new look, a new way of doing that we can add to so many others already known.
