Skidmore, Owings & Merrill
This is the second book in the collection WITHOUT WORDS, in which Helio Piñón leaves aside the traditional language of words and delves into another language, that of images.
This new publication is based on the work of SOM (Skidmore, Owings & Merrill), from which Helio has selected a total of 17 works in New York, Chicago and Paris from the period between 1950 and 1976.
His work, seen from this perspective, is not static and closed. On the contrary, we find ourselves witnessing an architecture full of occurrences, where the reflections, the transparencies, the changes in light, the flow of water, etc. introduce us into a dynamic, open and changing experience where good architecture accompanies us with serenity in this continuous transformation-interpretation of the city.
