Manuel Ventura

Ventura & Partners

Manuel Ventura (Porto, 1967) graduated in Architecture from the Faculty of Architecture at the University of Porto, where he later served as Assistant Professor. In 1994 he founded Ventura and Partners, the practice he continues to lead today, promoting an approach focused on construction quality and a deep understanding of urban and socio-economic dynamics.

His work is defined by a rigorous and cross-disciplinary method that combines research on technical and typological aspects with the development of innovative architectural production processes and the involvement of highly qualified teams throughout every project phase. Under his direction, the studio has completed residential, corporate, hospitality, healthcare and industrial buildings in Portugal and in several countries across Europe and the Americas.

Among his most recognised works are the CUF Hospital in Porto, the Dynamic Building for Primavera Software in Braga and the São Félix da Marinha House in Vila Nova de Gaia. These and other projects by Ventura and Partners have been distinguished by international institutions such as The Chicago Athenaeum, The Plan Award and the Architecture MasterPrize, which have highlighted their construction quality and conceptual coherence.

A member of the Royal Institute of British Architects, Manuel Ventura maintains an open and collaborative practice, guided by precision in construction and by the pursuit of an architecture that is balanced, enduring and responsive to a constantly changing world.
