La materialidad del proyecto busca acoger la tradición del lugar para reflejar una espacialidad cálida más cercana a la del hogar, es por esto que los materiales cerámicos aparecen en distintas formas como ladrillo prensado, teja plana y gres. Otros materiales que componen la espacialidad son madera, estructuras metálicas y vegetación. El techo y los corredores buscan crear un espacio donde los niños puedan resguardarse del sol y la lluvia, este espacio intermedio hace posible abrir las ventanas aun mientras llueve y jugar o caminar con protección del clima mientras se disfrutan las visuales del entorno. La relación con la naturaleza es fundamental para el proyecto, en este edificio circular se presentan distintos intercambios en puntos de accesos en donde la naturaleza entra y sale, permitiendo una relación constante entre ésta y los niños. CENTRARSE EN EL LUGAR El colegio Montessori se encuentra en el municipio de Rionegro el cual se caracteriza por un clima templado frio, en una zona rodeada de casas campestres, con una geografía en su mayoría plana pero que presenta algunas condiciones montañosas, una quebrada en uno de sus costados y gran cantidad de vegetación existente. Este es el primer edificio que conforma el plan maestro el cual es el encargado de generar las directrices para el crecimiento del colegio. Este edificio se relaciona con el lugar a través de los patios y las aperturas controladas, permitiendo que el proyecto de paisajismo ingrese al interior generando una relación continua con la naturaleza. El edificio de Kínder busca el estímulo de los niños por medio de una metodología basada en la flexibilidad y libertad del estudiante, fomentando el concepto de comunidad. Por lo cual, el planteamiento arquitectónico responde espacialmente con el FOCUS ON LOCATION The Montessori school is located in the municipality of Rionegro, which is characterised by a cold temperate climate, in an area surrounded by country houses, with a mostly flat geography, but with some mountainous conditions, a stream on one side and a large amount of existing vegetation. This is the first building of the master plan, which is responsible for generating the guidelines for the growth of the school. This building relates to the site through the courtyards and controlled openings, allowing the landscaping project to enter the interior, creating a continuous relationship with nature. The kindergarten building aims to stimulate the children through a methodology based on the flexibility and freedom of the student, promoting the concept of community. Therefore, the architectural approach responds spatially with the circle to these two conditions of the methodology, generating spaces adaptable to the different forms of learning proposed. The materiality of the project seeks to embrace the tradition of the place to reflect a warm spatiality closer to that of the home, which is why ceramic materials appear in different forms such as pressed brick, flat tiles and stoneware. Other materials that make up the space are wood, metal structures and vegetation. The roof and the corridors aim to create a space where the children can be protected from the sun and the rain; this intermediate space allows the windows to be opened even when it is raining, so that they can play or go for a walk sheltered from the weather while enjoying the view of the surroundings. The relationship with nature is fundamental to the project, in this circular building there are different exchanges at access points where nature enters and leaves, allowing a constant relationship between nature and children.
