TA 10- Hotels
This issue offers a tour of contemporary hotel architecture. In its 234 pages it brings together a selection of projects that stand out for their ability to reinterpret hotel design from different perspectives and contexts.
Among the projects included are the Hotel ME Barcelona, designed by Dominique Perrault, which redefines the relationship between architecture and the urban environment; the Hotel Caminhos de Santiago, by Francisco and Manuel Aires Mateus, a proposal that dialogues intimately with the Portuguese landscape; and the New Parador de Alcalá de Henares, designed by Aranguren & Gallegos, which integrates modernity and heritage in an emblematic space in Madrid. Also noteworthy is the Hotel Indigo Patagonia, designed by Sebastián Irarrázaval, which fuses architecture with the spectacular natural surroundings of the Chilean region.
The selected projects span a variety of scales and approaches, from the redesign of heritage structures to the creation of innovative contemporary spaces in urban or natural settings. Each work reflects how architectural design can transform the guest experience, adapting to the functional and aesthetic demands of modern hospitality, often integrating sustainability strategies and a conscious approach to the environment.
