Walk around the house. About the Project Analysis
"Andar por casa" is a book oriented towards learning architecture through a very defined theoretical and practical approach, based on several years of teaching experience at the School of Architecture of the Polytechnic University of Valencia. The text aims to be an educational tool that allows students to better understand architecture by exploring and analyzing specific case studies, especially single-family homes.
The book structures its content around key themes such as function, light, materiality, and space, which are analyzed through specific examples of houses that illustrate these concepts. Additionally, it incorporates a series of lessons on fundamental aspects of modern architecture, such as architectural composition and materiality, providing a systematic method for architectural analysis and design.
This approach is complemented by practical exercises that encourage an analytical and synthetic approach to architectural projects, facilitating the development of skills for students to effectively read and then write architecture. Therefore, the book not only serves as a theoretical guide but also as a platform for practice and experimentation in architectural design.
