In the Museo de la Ilustración objects aren’t shown, but ideas are. The development of the project modified the proposal of 1997. The building’s volumetric forms have been determined by the requirements of the urban rules, but a descending route throughout several exposition rooms, which are organized in very gentle ramps, defines the interior space. The building proposes a unitary and compact image, different from the initial project.

Two almost parallel long volumes: the fi rst one, longer and angular, for the permanent exposition of the Museum and the second one for administration. Both are connected by a piece that’s halfway in between them, that includes the main entrance hall, of great dimensions, opened to the garden.
