This book, prefaced by the British expert on the subject John Warren and with an introduction by Hubert Guillaud, first sets out an overview of the more than forty construction variants of the wall in the Iberian Peninsula with their geographical location, in addition to the main pathologies that usually appear.
Below, we present both information on the restoration of brickwork architecture during the last thirty years in Spain and Portugal divided by autonomous communities, as well as about thirty case studies analyzed in greater depth, written by their authors or scholars of the subject. . The book concludes with the most suitable methodologies and products for the conservation of brick walls and some final reflections on the criteria and techniques to be used as a result of the results observed in the almost two hundred cases treated in the book.
